Princess's Story
On a cold winter night a vet tech at a local shelter noticed a cardboard box outside the gate. When she retrieved it she found a very small Persian cat with two newborn kittens inside. The three little bodies were dehydrated and near death. One of the kittens died hours later. Princess lay on a heating pad, tubes giving her fluids, and fought for life. I visited her as much as I could, petting her and giving her encouragement to survive. As soon as she was strong enough she came home with me. For some time she paniced when anyone came near her or tried to touch her. Now she loves to be held, cuddled and enjoys sleeping in the kitchen sink. She is often mistaken for a stuffed toy as she weighs only 3 lb. 9 oz. She has a recurring eye problem and needs her face washed daily. She has also had most of her teeth pulled and dips her dry food in the water bowl. Princess is estimated at 15 plus years.
