Bella's Story
Bella was rescued from a ditch in SW Portland, Or. She was a mess and highly traumatized. I got her from a rescue organization in a pet store. For the first few weeks she hid in a corner of a closet, coming out at night for food and water. She was on a special diet for urinary infection problems. It took months of coaxing and patience before I could get near enough to touch her. I found she had several sore spots and had to be very careful with her. She was a treat to behold on the trip to AZ even with a mild tranquillizer from a vet. She adjusted well to her new homes. Over time she developed a weight problem. I called her my closet eater as I rarely saw her eating. Now all is under control, she loves to be brushed (with gentle care), snuggles, and gets along with the other cats. She is healthy at 12 years of age.
