Tawny staggered on to my carport one night, emaciated. His ribs were defined and his hip bones stuck out. Once he got his shots, etc., he was an inside cat and he was the boss. He formed bonds with several other cats and was quite protective of me. He died of an aggressive form of cancer in his throat. It didn't react positively to any of the treatments. He was a great companion and is so missed by me, the people he greeted and cuddled up to, and the many cats he bonded with and protected. He was the Alpha male but ruled the roost in a positive and good way, most of the time. |

One day as I walked to my patio I glanced down and there was a kitten curled up under a piece of furniture. She went in and out through the lattice work. She didn't like or adjust to the other cats and insisted on remaining an outside cat. Her passing saddened several people in the neighborhood as she shared her time. |

 Jezebel 1991-2009 |
Jez spent most of her first 12 years in a shelter. She didn't like other cats and wasn't overly fond of people either. She gradually found her comfort zone and quit hissing at me. I dearly loved her hauty attutitude. It was hard to say good-bye to her. She is missed by me and the only cat she could tolerate- Cadbury, a loveable guy who loves everyone and simply ignored her bad moods. |

 Paws
1991-2009 |
Paws was adopted at age 7 from a shelter in Oregon. She was a gentle, laid back companion who loved kids, dogs, and other cats. When her family moved back to the Pacific Northwest after a two year stay in Tucson, she moved in with me. At age 18 she suffered a fatal heart attack. She was grieved and missed by many, people and other animals. |
