Cadbury

Cadbury's Story

Cadbury was dropped off at a shelter (where I worked) at about age two. He was picked on by the other cats and wouldn't fight back. Whenever he heard my voice he ran to me. I lasted only a few days before taking him home.

I call him my greeter as he goes to the door whenever someone comes to visit. He is a lovebucket, always full of love and kisses. At night he snuggles and proceeds to "groom" me.

Cadbury has several chronic problems. He does not use a liter box. I've tried every remedy and had to settle for newspapers in several locations. Usually he manages to make it on the paper, but not always. He also has an ongoing skin condition. The only thing that seems to help is to keep him groomed with a lion or box cut.  Over the years he has had dental surgeries and currently is doing fine in that department.

Anyone who meets Cadbury tends to remember him. I've never heard him growl or hiss in the six years he has blessed my sanctuary. He is about 8 years old.
